The
Hillsborough County NAACP has successfully
implemented its Legal Redress Committee.
The Committee’s purpose is to review
and address complaints filed with the office.
The Committee will contact the complainant
to discuss the issue(s) outlined in the
filed complaint to ensure the complainant
understands the issues indicated therein.
The Committee will then attempt to resolve
the issue(s), indicated in the complaint.
If the Committee cannot resolve the issue(s),
it will refer the complainant to an attorney,
law firm, or agency that may be able to
assist in resolving the complaint. The Legal
Redress Committee, according to the NAACP
Constitution and By Laws cannot give general
legal advice. Please be advised also, that
every complaint filed with the NAACP does
not signify that a complainant has legal
merit for a lawsuit. However, if you desire
legal advice or counsel, you have the right
to seek this help.
You
may download from this site a Complaint
Form, or call the NAACP office at 813-234-8683
and ask that a Complaint Form be Faxed or
mailed to you, or you may stop by the NAACP
office at 308 E. M. L. King Blvd., Suite
“C” and fill out a form there.
The office hours are Mondays 11AM-4PM; Tuesdays-Thursdays
9AM-4PM, and Fridays 9AM-2PM.
